THE NATIONAL RALLY

The largest collection of Morris Minors in one place anywhere in the world

PlayPause
Andrew Stone manages the National Rally and leads a dedicated team of volunteers to design, mark out, manage during the event, and clear away afterwards, all the camping, arenas, and facilities, necessary for the rally.

The club have a team of experienced and easily identified marshals to ensure a safe an enjoyable event is had by all.

Each year the Morris Minor Owners Club stages a weekend event, usually near the end of June, for all devotees of the Morris Minor. The National Rally does not have a permanent venue although in recent years we have staged consecutive events at the stunning Kelmarsh Hall and Gardens, close to Kettering in Northamptonshire.

The event is open to Morris Minor Owners Club members and non-members alike and tickets can be booked in advance through our online portal nearer to the event. Depending on location, we have between five hundred and a thousand Minors in attendance over the weekend.

Arena Displays

There's a full weekend program of events in the arena - verything from motorcycle display teams, through vintage aircraft displays, to terrier racing, plus car displays and prize giving/ awards

Saturday Party

Saturday night is always party night in the big marquee, where we'll bring in a themed band and a licenced bar to dance the night away. Dig out that old Abba costume and get your groove on!

Auto Jumble

Many of the main Minor traders come to National and run special specials on their wares and are able to give specialist advice on the spot, plus an autojumble to find that elusive part

Branch Avenue

Many of the local branches extend hospitality to potential new local members, and battle against each other for the fiercely competitive 'Interbranch Challenge' trophy

Camping

Camping is available from Friday noon til Monday noon in our dedicated area. Loos and fire equipment on site. Limited showers are provided too

Catering

Although most visitors cater for themselves, we always have a hot food wagon in attendance too plus a licenced bar in the party

Visiting Classics

Lots of Minor owners have other vehicles too that they like to show, and we can accommodate smaller clubs own events within our rally

Car judging

From 'working Minor' daily use cars right up to Grand Masters, we celebrate every Minor and have categories for all to use and improve their cars

Future locations

We think that one of the keys to making our national event one of the best events in the classic car annual calendar is to never rest on our laurels and imagine we've cornered the market, and we're always striving for our next idea to keep our loyal members happy with what we do. So although the National is planned a couple of years in advance and we are already established for next year, we very much welcome suggestions for possible future locations. There are a couple of things we absolutely need to consider a venue: it should be near to main road networks and centrally located in the country, and needs to be at least 100 acres of level ground free of animal droppings, preferably cut and with a mains water supply. If you're looking at that spot right now, drop Andrew a line through the Contacts link and we'll take it from there!

Here's a few pictures from recent National Rallies. We'd love to have your pics too - see the 'Contact Us' link for how to get them to us Come and join us at the years biggest gathering dedicated to the Morris Minor
