A word from our President

As we all look forward beyond 2020 and an astonishing ninth decade of Morris Minors on the UK's roads, the MMOC and its team of volunteers have been working hard to keep our club, your club, both useful and relevant to our members, and to ensure that they are represented in an age of increasing environmental legislation and curbing of our motoring freedoms. Part of that commitment includes taking active steps to listen to you as our stakeholders, and the survey conducted through 2019 by our Director of Development Bruce Kelsey is a major part of that work. We're thrilled that you responded so positively to that challenge, and it's going to take us quite a while to catalogue and digest the huge volume of feedback you've given so generously, but you can be sure that as your club moves inexorably forward, we'll be taking everything you've said into account.
One of the most immediate consequences of your feedback is ramping up the development and rollout of our brand new website, which our Internet Services Manager Mike Dean has been working at in his spare time over the last year or so. Among a raft of improvements over our old site, we've now put two-way communication in the form of our messageboards and social media connections front and centre, and making the site in general easier to find your way around. Mike is working on training up some of our committee members to maintain their own presence on the website, keeping you up to date with their various areas of responsibility, and I hope you'll see the fruits of that work as you browse the site. The events where we get together and share our common interest and enjoy each others company are now more prominently displayed, and I - along with all the MMOC committee members - hope to see you all at one event or another during the coming rally season.
